My name is Yein Yoo. Yoo is family name it was from China. In Korea, we call it Yu. Not Yo. Sometimes people mistake Yein is Chinese. Anyway, first My grandmother who is my father's mother wanted to name me Hyein but in the hospital that I was born, many babies who are girls were named by their parents Hyein. So my parents gave me a name Yein because my mother didn't want to give me a same name.My father game me "Hangle" name and my mother and my grandmother who is my mother's mother game me "Kanji" name. My name has two mean. "Ye" mean art. "Can do well all things" for example, do something well, be a handy person, to sing well play musical instrument well and so on. "In" mean to have a compassionate heart.
When I was 10 years old, I came to Japan. Then K-Pop was not trend in Japan yet and I was bullied because of my Korean name and nationality. I hated my name so I ask my Japanese friends for call me with my nickname, I don't want them to call me with my given name. I always thought if I was born as a Japanese, I wasn't bullied because of them. However, gradually K-pop was trend in Japan and I entered a high school that have English department. I could meet a lot of friends who are from another countries. They also and another Japanese friends understood me. Step by step I could know I'm a amazing person because I can speak two languages since when I was 10years old? Now I speak English, to sing well, always do my best, even have a compassionate heart. Like my name. If my lovely family gave me a name that has another mean, I grew up differently I guess. I asked my mother "Do I grow up a person like my name?" And she said "You grow up a person like your name." I really were glad. Because my lovely family wanted me to grow up a person like my name and they recognized me. My name was made by my lovely people. After hearing that, I really moved and I decided to keep my name and myself carefully. So now, I really love my name. I always wear a necklace that is engraved my name. Thanks to my parents. I promise I'll protect my precious name.
Name is so beautiful first gift from each parents. They believe their babies health, happiness future. Sometime people they don't like their name. But it's rudeness to each parents. As a me in the past. I guess, if they ask their parents about their name, they will love their own name. I hope. During doing this assignment, I could notice again how my family love me since I was born. In the future, I want to give a wonderful name to my future babies with love like my family gave me.
